Industry standards are important. This blog will explain how LeadScale sets a high industry standard by being an ISO 27001 holder.

Industry standards are important to deliver quality products and services. At LeadScale delivering quality is one of our core values. When we started in the data trading industry, there were no standards. Knowing that, we set a goal: leave the data collection sector in a better place than when we found it. We thought that if we were going to try and set standards, why not set them for the whole industry rather than just for ourselves? After all, standards make the entire market better for everyone.

What is ISO 27001?

Quickly before we jump into LeadScale’s quality control and assurance system: Did you know that the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) doesn’t offer specific guidance on how to protect data? The regulation protects data privacy by providing a legal framework for keeping everyone’s personal data safe. Still, it doesn’t offer a set of specifications that describe the features of an effective information security management system (ISMS). An ISO 27001 certification does. And to hold an ISO 27001 certification or to pass an audit, your ISMS must conform to these requirements.
