Technical data services
Connect your CRM and marketing systems to the LeadScale Engine™, with the technical work built around how your team already operates. LeadScale supports programmes for both business and consumer audiences.
LeadScale provides CRM integration services for programmes using its own data-processing technology, the LeadScale Engine. Our technical team handles onboarding, connects the routes for retrieving and delivering data, and configures the processing. We work from your existing workflow and agree with you which side handles each part.
The work behind the connection
Start with your existing workflow
Before adding the Engine to your systems, you need to know what the change will involve for the people who work with them. Where will records come from? What needs to happen before your team receives them? Which parts will LeadScale handle, and which will need work on your side?
LeadScale’s technical team works through those questions with you during onboarding. The starting point is your current workflow: the sources feeding it, the systems receiving data and the work you need the Engine to do between them.
Agree what happens between the systems
A working connection establishes a route for the data. The setup also needs to specify what happens to each record before the receiving team gets it.
LeadScale’s technical team translates your requirements into checks, filters and processing conditions. Some programmes also need enrichment to add missing information after the checks have run. The combination is agreed before processing begins.
The Engine configuration page describes how those requirements become rules. For what can be added to a record, see the data enrichment page.
Use the data already in your systems
A CRM can be a source for a programme as well as the place new records arrive.
If an acquisition programme needs to exclude existing customers, the customer data in your CRM has to be available for suppression. Delivering new records into that CRM would only address one part of the requirement.
LeadScale’s technical team can set up retrieval from client systems so that information can be used in the Engine’s processing. Existing-customer data can then be used to screen new responses before delivery. The deduplication and suppression page explains how that data is prepared and used alongside rules for repeat responses.
Send records where they need to go, in the right order
Most programmes need records delivered into one destination. Some need more than one system involved, with a record’s next step depending on what comes back from an earlier one.
LeadScale designs those flows around the programme. The Engine can deliver to several destinations and support a sequence between systems where it is needed. The work is to establish which system needs the record, what happens there and what should follow.
Bring later outcomes back, if your programme includes it
If a lead becomes an opportunity or a sale in your CRM, that result needs a route back before it can inform subsequent activity. The technical setup can connect those later outcomes to the programme that supplied the record.
The client and LeadScale agree what the programme is trying to optimise for. Where you share outcome data, the Engine and connected systems can be configured around those outcomes.
On programmes set up for it, agreed outcomes can return through connected systems. Which outcomes return depends on the programme and the systems involved.
For the questions those results can help investigate, see the data quality and conversion analysis page. It distinguishes what capture and processing show from what needs information about later outcomes.
Use the route that fits your systems
Data can enter the Engine by file transfer or upload, through an API, or through a configured integration. Those routes are also available for delivery into one or more destination systems.
Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot and Pardot are among the most common marketing automation integrations. They use standard connections, so the platform receives Engine records through the same route it uses for records from your other sources.
This helps establish the scope of the work. A standard connection can be used where it fits; where it does not, custom work is possible and is scoped separately. The integrations catalogue gives your team the documented connection options to discuss with us.
From requirements to a working flow
- Work through the fit. Establish where the Engine sits in your workflow and agree the work on each side.
- Design the routes. Identify the sources, the client data that needs retrieving and the systems records need to reach, including any sequence between them.
- Set the processing. Specify what should happen to records before delivery. LeadScale configures the Engine to carry out that work.
- Connect and deliver. Connect the agreed routes into and out of the Engine so records can move through processing and reach their destinations.
Records delivered into the systems you use
Your team receives records after the specified processing has run, delivered into one or more agreed systems. Where the programme needs client data for that processing, retrieval is part of the flow too.
The same arrangement can support a demand programme run by LeadScale Services or one your own team runs using the Engine.
Consent and provenance
For records captured through a LeadScale programme, the Engine records the source, timestamp, lineage and consent audit trail. Audit trails continue through delivery.
The consent and provenance page sets out what this history contains, where form snapshots add evidence and how supplied consent information is applied.
Frequently asked questions
What will our team need to do?
It depends on the connection route. Your team may need to make files available, configure your own system to send records or have your developers call the API. We agree that division of work during onboarding, starting from the systems and workflow you already have.
Can you connect a system without a direct integration?
A file or API route may be suitable, and custom work is possible where the standard routes do not fit. A system’s absence from the integrations catalogue does not by itself mean it cannot connect. The technical team can discuss the requirement with you.
Can you take data out of our CRM as well as put records into it?
Yes. Retrieval can be part of the technical setup where the programme needs data held in your systems, such as customer records used for suppression. The routes and the purpose of the retrieved data are agreed for the work.
Can we use the Engine while running our own programme?
Yes. You can use the Engine without LeadScale Services running the demand programme. The technical team handles onboarding onto the Engine, and your team can work with the processed records delivered into your systems. Our managed lead generation page explains the additional work when you want LeadScale to run the demand activity.
How do we discuss the cost?
The discovery call covers the work your programme needs and its commercial terms.
